Tapping for Confusion and Scattered Thoughts

Have you ever felt confused and scattered so that you had a hard time concentrating on the important tasks you needed to get done? Sometimes scattered thinking is the result of having too much to do. Sometimes it’s because you’re tired. Sometimes it’s because you’re overwhelmed by a task that seems to large or difficult.

No matter what is causing your scattered thoughts, the tapping script below will help you to clear your mind, center your body and start fresh.

Karate Chop:

Even though my thoughts are scattered and I can’t seem to concentrate, I love and accept myself completely.

Even though my thinking is foggy and I really need to focus right now, I forgive myself for struggling with this.

Even though I can’t seem to get my thoughts together and do what needs to be done, I choose to clear this resistance now.

Now tapping through the points:

Eyebrow: I’m so scattered.
Side of Eye: I can’t think straight!
Under Eye: I’ve got so much to do.
Under Nose: And it really needs to be done.
Under Mouth: It needs to be done NOW.
Collarbone: I can’t put it off.
Under Arm: But I can’t concentrate.
Top of Head: I can’t focus.

Eyebrow: I really need to focus right now.
Side of Eye: But my thoughts are so scattered.
Under Eye: I’m so scattered.
Under Nose: I feel like my thoughts are all over the place.
Under Mouth: I’m confused and scattered.
Collarbone: It’s stressing me out.
Under Arm: I need to concentrate.
Top of Head: I need to focus.

Eyebrow: I’m going to clear this mental confusion.
Side of Eye: I’m going to tap it away.
Under Eye: I’m going to clear away these scattered thoughts.
Under Nose: I’m going to relax and feel centered.
Under Mouth: Tapping it all away.
Collarbone: Everything that is interfering with clear thinking.
Under Arm: I’m tapping away all confusion.
Top of Head: Just letting it go.

Eyebrow: I choose to have clear thoughts.
Side of Eye: Clear and lucid.
Under Eye: Clear and sharp.
Under Nose: Clear and calm.
Under Mouth: I choose to narrow my focus.
Collarbone: I choose to set aside all distractions.
Under Arm: I choose to think clearly.
Top of Head: My mind is becoming calm and focused now.

Eyebrow: I choose to let go of all stress.
Side of Eye: I release feelings of overwhelm.
Under Eye: I release anything that’s bothering me.
Under Nose: I’m tapping away all resistance.
Under Mouth: I choose to feel calm and centered.
Collarbone: I choose to breathe deeply. (Take a deep breath.)
Under Arm: I choose to feel calm and focused.
Top of Head: I can do this.

Eyebrow: Releasing all scattered thoughts.
Side of Eye: Setting aside all distractions.
Under Eye: Releasing all stress and tension.
Under Nose: Allowing my body to become quiet and peaceful.
Under Mouth: Allowing my mind to become clear and calm.
Collarbone: I can do this.
Under Arm: Just a few minutes of tapping
Top of Head: to clear away all resistance.

Eyebrow: I choose to feel good now.
Side of Eye: I choose to feel centered and balanced.
Under Eye: I choose to be at peace.
Under Nose: I choose to feel grounded and secure.
Under Mouth: My energy is coming back to my center.
Collarbone: Distractions are fading away.
Under Arm: Negativity is fading away.
Top of Head: I’m feeling really good now.

(Take a deep, slow breath.)

Eyebrow: I choose to feel amazing.
Side of Eye: I choose to feel clear and calm.
Under Eye: I can concentrate easily.
Under Nose: I can complete one task at a time.
Under Mouth: My energy levels are increasing.
Collarbone: I’m feeling stronger and clearer.
Under Arm: I can focus my thoughts where they need to be.
Top of Head: I choose to feel calm and clear.

Eyebrow: Feeling so clear now.
Side of Eye: My thoughts are at peace.
Under Eye: My body is at peace.
Under Nose: Feeling so peaceful and calm now.
Under Mouth: Feeling centered and balanced.
Collarbone: Feeling the ease flow through my mind and body.
Under Arm: Feeling so peaceful now.
Top of Head: I allow peace to stay with me.

Eyebrow: All day and all night.
Side of Eye: I am peaceful and balanced.
Under Eye: My energy is grounded and stable.
Under Nose: My thoughts are clear and focused.
Under Mouth: My body is relaxed and calm.
Collarbone: This is what I choose for myself.
Under Arm: Calm and peace, inside and out.
Top of Head: All is well.

(Deep breath.)
